Somewhat good warehouse experience
Packager (Former Employee) –  Green Bay, WINovember 2, 2017
Imperial Supplies was very stressful due to productivity standards and some areas were harder than others. Auto bagging was okay but the hand packaging was the hardest. There was never an opportunity to advance to the picker/checker position that I wanted.

Good pay

good company to work with and everyone was really simple to work with. If you had a question, then they are able to assist to help you. There are different way of management between all supervisors which you had to make sure that you knew what you could do.

Overall Good Warhouse Job
Crew Leader-Packaging (Current Employee) –  Grand Prairie, TXJuly 5, 2017
Production based company and goal based.
Management needs help being developed. Managed from the office not floor. It was a blame everyone else with no accountability to the person performing the job task workplace cuture. Hardest part of the job was keeping the people happy. Learned somethings but mostly by trial and error. Not a whole learned by being proactive towards workers needs.

The worst job period !
Field Support Representative (Former Employee) –  CaliforniaJune 11, 2017
Field support rep. Compensation is a joke, they expect you to travel 90% of the time and to boot they have a maximum of 100$ for a hotel which means you are staying in sub par roach motels, the work is brutal and boring, the management is an absolute joke, avoid this job like the plague!!

Unless you can work miracles
National Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Green Bay, WIApril 18, 2017
If your in sales they make your monthly goals impossible to reach, especially if your dealing with companies who are on budgets (which is everyone nowadays). They give you a base to start with, which all your customers are so tired of dealing with yet another contact person, they've lost all trust in the company. The leads they give you to cold call and recruit to switch to imperial either have nothing to do with what Imperial can provide or they will not work with anyone else.

Management only cares about the almighty dollar they will not work with you to get your goals met and nothing is ever their problem.

No job is ever safe and everyone is just waiting to see who will be walked out next.

I started working at Imperial in September of 2008 at a time the United States was experiencing a recession. I put forth a real good effort and became a reliable employee. This company offered not only a good opportunity to work and development different skills but also a great benefits program as well. Great leadership all around sound company.
Pros
Great health insurance. Profit sharing competive wages

Regional Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  GANovember 5, 2016
Constant travel, have a tendency to play favorites. They churn and burn employees and if you do not align yourself with an upper management player you more than likely will not make it.
Pros
Decent salary
Cons
Way too much travel

REG. Warehouse jobs, consistent with what one would have to endure at any other warehouse job. If you wish to make a career out of it, either keep your head down, make little to no mistakes and heavily grin and bare.

Worst management I have ever worked for!
Picker/Checker (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVOctober 20, 2016
It does not matter how much experience you have. There is a system you must follow to get trained and promoted. Management has no clue about warehouse management and people skills. All they care about is numbers.Avoid at all costs!

Temporary A/P
Accounts Payable Clerk, Temp. assistant (Former Employee) –  De Pere, WISeptember 12, 2016
A typical day was sorting invoices, receiving slips and matching and marking slips with cost amounts to be later coded to put into computer for payment. In my opinion the management was all over the place, to much paper sorting and filing. The system needs to be updated to meet business needs for a better percentage of success. Co-workers were not the friendliest bunch, too much back talk for my taste, not enough fellowship.

Great Opportunity
National Account Representative (Current Employee) –  Green Bay, WIJuly 18, 2016
Imperial is a phenomenal company to work for. Between the great pay, friendly atmosphere, and competitiveness within our market, I truly enjoy waking up and coming to work. At Imperial, everyone wants to see you succeed as bad as they want to succeed. They set you up for success from day one with a training program that teaches you about the product, company, sales process, and anything else you would need to know. The company has some of the best management I have ever seen at a company like this. They view their selves as leaders, not bosses. With a company that is growing as fast as Imperial, you can choose so many different directions with your career (sales, purchasing, pricing, etc.). There are always opportunities to move up within the company from the moment you start. I would highly recommend getting started with Imperial, especially with the way Imperial is growing.
Pros
benefits, competitive pay, incentives/prizes, don't take work home with you, weekends off

Fun place to work with flexible hours
Sales (Current Employee) –  Green Bay, WIJune 23, 2016
One thing that I love about Imperial is the sales contests that they have every month. This month I won over $300 in different restaurant gift cards during the week along with an awesome remote control cooler. The prizes they give out every month keeps everything exciting. The atmosphere is very encouraging and upbeat.

Another thing I like about Imperial is their flexible hours. You will never have to work weekends or holidays which is huge for me. They work around any family issues or appointments.

I would recommend a sales job here if you are looking to have fun and work for a company that is seeing double digit growth every year. The monthly prizes are awesome too ;)

The last thing I want to mention is that we are owned by Grainger so our benefits are insane!!!
Pros
compensation and flexibility
