Friendly company with core values
Associate (Current Employee), Las Vegas, NV – September 9, 2012
Pros: free burgers, managed well, very good job security
Cons: bad attitudes, smells like burgers after work
A good company to have constant training and movement. Plus awesome to brag about and you get a free burger for every shift. But be careful, those calories add up fast.

Driven, Hard working to achieve perfection
Manager (Current Employee), West Covina, CA – September 6, 2012
A typical day at work would include completing financial reports, inventory control, labor percentage and targeted sales for every day. Setting up 5 point of sale network for the start of the day. Have to develop a schedule of associate to ensure smooth business flow so customers receive world class perfection and service. Controlling over 30 associates – more... on a day shift and making sure training, developing, motivation and positive reinforcement is being implemented. Challenges during work would include making our number one asset which are the customers are being taken care of and taken the extra mile. As well, proper planning so poor performance is never given. The most positive part of management is training associates and training them and watching them blossom by your teachings. Towards the end of the day, financial reports will be run, business flow charts, and inventory control for the shift. – less

From the start of the day till the end you are always helping customers and you always need a smile on your face. It is apart of your uniform. The job consists of taking orders from the customers and handling the customers money. The whole day is enjoyable and it is a blast to work there!

usually work 6-8 hour day's. learning how to listen and take orders from customers. management is very good bout keeping everyone on time and everything running very smooth. co-workers are great people to be with. the hardest part is closing when you have last customers coming in ordering something big.The best thing is that you get to see all the customers – more... happy when they left. – less

Excellent environment, always room to grow.
Level 6 Associate (Current Employee), Santa Rosa, CA – August 13, 2012
Every day at In N Out is enjoyable, everyone works together as a team, helping each other out to get the job done. When you clock in you are told what position you will be working that day, and get all of your breaks on time. The managment team is great, we have four different managers, advancing all the time. My co-workers and I get along great, always – more... joking around and having a great time, but still delivering the customers quality bugers. The hardest part of my job, is my condition on my hands, I have eczema on my hands and the environment there does not suit this condition. I love seeing my co-workers advance, and get so excited. That is definately the highlight of working at In N Out. – less

Fast paced which makes the shifts go by fast
Associate (Former Employee), Las Vegas, NV – July 27, 2012
Pros: free lunches with every shift
Cons: varying hours sometimes alot of hours for the week sometimes only a few
Lots of room for advancement, non stop training, learn everything from wiping off tables the whole way to managing a store if you stick with it. Meet lots of great people. Hardest part of the job is keeping up with the fast pace but you adapt quickly. Most enjoyable part of the job is company picnics, parties, and free lunch.

A typical day at work was to learn a bit of everything here; because it was very multi-task. We learned certain ways to type in peoples orders its like math a new way everyday to get the correct information. The hardest part would probably be people above you would be your shadow through out the whole day stressin to you about small things.
