Engine Development and Base Calibration
We are looking for a new team member:
- to work with hardware, software, scientific labs, etc. to define an engine system that can meet future emissions and performance requirements.
- to optimize engine calibrations to meet power, torque, durability, fuel economy and emissions requirements.
- to investigate the details of hardware, controls, and software designs to get enough understanding to resolve engine performance issues.
- to review, analyze, and evaluate data to understand engine performance and make recommendations for hardware, controls and calibration changes.
Minimum Education: BS in Engineering
Experience in one or more of the following: Direct injection, cooled EGR, engine calibration, emissions control, combustion analysis, instrumentation (thermocouples, RTDs, cylinder pressure transducers), statistics or data analysis.
Candidates without work experience must have "hobby-type" automotive experience (racing, rebuild project, etc.) or participation in SAE teams (Formula Car, Solar Car, Mini Baja, etc.).
Candidate must be fluent in MS Office usage and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with ETAS/INCA , Matlab/Simulink is desirable.
Must be willing and able to drive company vehicles. Some of the open positions will require regular driving and getting a Commercial Motor Vehicle license, most will be dyno based with occasional vehicle testing.
