Assistant to the Development Manager, Manhattan, NY - August 20, 2012
Well since IFP was non-profit company, I usually was managing ticket sales to our two major money making events that funded most of the money the company uses in the coming year. Lots of editing access and excel spreadsheets and editing/producing Powerpoint presentations our company would use to pitch to other company to convince them to donate. I learned how this part of film production works in the aspect of outside company donating money to fund indie films. My co-workers were usually on task but we also struck of very interesting conversations about movies or how the industry works and that opened my eyes when I got to hear from people with years of experience. The hardest part of the job was sometimes having to do a lot of such a short amount of time that my actions were just very repeditive. The most enjoyable part of the job was the cool location and the interesting people I worked with.
