Indianapolis Teaching Fellows

About Indianapolis Teaching Fellows

Indianapolis Teaching Fellows provides a streamlined path into the classroom for exceptional individuals looking to become teachers in Indianapolis. We look for outstanding professionals and recent college graduates from all fields and backgrounds to bring their experience, knowledge, and records of achievement to our classrooms to close the achievement – more... gap.

Indianapolis Teaching Fellows is a highly selective program that targets exceptional candidates and trains these individuals during an intensive summer institute to start teaching in critical shortage areas in the fall of 2009. In addition to summer training, all Fellows will attend three-hour classes at Marian college two nights a week - while teaching full-time during the day - and earn a Master of Arts in Teaching and an initial Indiana teaching license by June 2011. Most first year Fellows will be eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award that will help defer the cost of licensure coursework.

Your opportunity to make a difference in education is right now. As a Fellow, you will be part of a powerful network of like-minded professionals and work with other education leaders to effect systemic change in Indianapolis by impacting academic achievement.

Indianapolis Teaching Fellows is committed to providing the students of Indianapolis with dedicated teachers who will work relentlessly to impact their academic achievement and help to prepare them for success. We are looking for outstanding candidates to teach math, science, special education, or Spanish. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
