Indigo Books & Music Inc. (Indigo) is a Canada-based book retailer. The Company operates a chain of retail bookstores across all 10 provinces and one territory in Canada, including 90 superstores under the Chapters, Indigo and World’s Biggest Bookstore names, as well as 155 small format stores under the banners Coles, Indigo, Indigospirit, – more... SmithBooks and The Book Company. Indigo operates www.chapters.indigo.ca, an e-commerce retail destination, which sells books, videos, digital versatile disc (DVDs), music and toys. The Company also operates seasonal kiosks and year-round stores in shopping malls across Canada, through its Calendar Club of Canada Limited Partnership. During the fiscal year ended March 28, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the Company opened four superstores, one small format store and two Pistachio stores. The Company also closed four small format stores during fiscal 2009.
