Typical work day starts at 7am and ends at 7pm. Most customers drop off their vehicles in the morning, then receive loaners and go about their day. We use the follow up method of 10, 12 and 2. Most vehicles are ready for pickup around 3:30pm. I learned most at IOTC that working on a great team is the best way to be a successful consultant. When everyone is on the same page the work day, though stressful at times, will go more smoothly. Service consultants have the hardest but most rewarding jobs in any dealer because you are responsible for customers main mode of transportation on a daily basis. It involves the ability to multitask, be courtesies and work well under pressure. The most enjoyable part of the job is retention. Knowing you did such a great job that customers will come back to you because of your job well done.
