Fun, Challanging, Productive
Senior Systems Engineer (Former Employee), Hyderabad, APJuly 17, 2014
Pros: flexibility
Cons: long travel to reach workplace
A typical day starts with attending morning conference calls with on-site co-coordinator to know the daily progress of the project as well as client inputs and feedback. A quick offshore team meet to brainstorm and formulate the action items. Then plan and prioritize tasks for the day. Work on implementing the tasks, coordinating with Quality Assurance – more... teams, etc., and another quick meet before end of day to check the progress. Anchoring another stand-up call with client and onsite co-coordinators in the night to update the project progress.

I have learnt that communication with client is important in agile project management methodology. Management is supportive and motivating. Co-workers are friendly and cooperative. The most enjoyable part of the job is the project closing phase, where the team brainstorms on defect prevention techniques. The hardest part is to motivate the team follow those steps for the next iteration. – less
