Positive Outlook
Approves of CEO
I worked at Infosys full-time (More than 8 years)
Pros
Very transparent, ample opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. With the new CEO, the company is fired up to grow significantly in the next few years.
Cons
Some processes could be very tedious, but once you get a handle, things are smooth. I see significant steps to fixing many process glitches
Advice to Management
Need to be a little more employee focus and work on policies around leaves, remote working, and compensation

Glorified body shop
Principal Comsultant (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILJanuary 23, 2017
They hire high calibre consultants from prestigious schools, but do not sell consulting services.

Theae consultants sit on bench as a result, and then are criticized for being on bench.

All projects I have seen are pure staff augmentation, and only pure development, no project management, no domain expertise, no business requirements, no business process re engineering. Nothing outside of coding and testing.

They want to be an Accenture or Deloitte but they don't want to evolve out of the box they've been in for 20 some odd years. Anyone who attempts to highlight the benefits of doing so is marginalized, humiliated, then fired.

If you just want to be a coder, this is a good place. If you want to think for a living, look elsewhere.
Pros
Good place for coders
Cons
Everything else

More concerned with bottom dollar than employee morale or growth
QA Analyst/Test Manager (Current Employee) –  Phoenix, AZDecember 14, 2016
Very little leadership interaction. Growth potential at a minimum. Concern for employee morale non-existent. Time off requests are due months in advance and can't be changed once submitted leaving no room for impromptu time off or changes.
Hard work, good peer review and solid performance does nothing to employee salaries. Minimal to no raises in 3 years leaves little incentive to over-perform when a multi-billion dollar company does not reward it's employees helping them grow.
Pros
Did allow me to work virtual; flexibility in work schedule
Cons
Little/no raises; no leadership interaction;

Job security but less compensation
Technology Architect (Current Employee) –  Ridgeland, MSNovember 29, 2016
The overall work culture of the company has changed in recent times. The company is no more driven by values. Most of the times you will get good managers but with laterals joining the company values have gone for a toss.
Now culture is moving towards keep your boss happy and company has stopped addressing employees concerns.
Infosys has got the best campuses among IT organizations in India. You would love Infosys campuses and facilities in India but you won't be able to utilize them due to stringent project timelines or longs waiting.
Pros
Job Security
Cons
Less salary

Decent company, decent salary, slow growth
Technical Support Analyst (Former Employee) –  Portland, ORJune 18, 2016
Infosys is a good company to start a career. The fresher's training is great, but you won't get to choose a project of your liking later on. You have to be lucky to be on a good project of your interest. Ofcource there are chances of being able to change a project, but very rare. I was lucky to be in a project of my liking and I did enjoy most of my stay with the company. However, most of the times the focus was on getting things done somehow rather than doing it right.

In terms of growth, no matter how good you are, growth will happen at a very slow pace, probably this holds true for almost all large scale companies. Salary is at par with its peers, nothing great.

Overall, it is a decent workplace I would say. If you can live with moderate growth prospects, It is a good place to be.
Pros
Fair policies, many projects
Cons
Moderate growth

Large Organization with a diverse range of offerings
Business Development/Client Relationship (Current Employee) –  Basking Ridge, NJJuly 27, 2016
Being one of the largest IT services organizations in the world with a wide range of service offerings, Infosys offers a great learning opportunity for people starting their career in IT services industry. However, after a certain stage growth becomes slower and is heavily dependent on external factors/luck. High degree of process control has led to bureaucratic organizational structure with reduced ability to take swift actions. Compensation and benefits are ordinary.
