SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform full-cycle accounting in accordance with GAAP to include preparation and appropriate documentation of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, preparation of sub-ledgers that tie to trial balance accounts
  • Prepare monthly budget to actual variance analysis
  • Perform account and bank statement reconciliations
  • Tracking and maintenance of fixed asset records and depreciation schedule
  • Prepare Clinical Trial accruals and monitor expenses for proper disclosures
  • Review/post Accounts Payable/Account Receivable batches and daily deposits
  • Maintain vendor master file
  • Review and evaluate Accounts Receivable billings and collections
  • Post cash reciepts
  • Monitor bank activity and record any necessary journal entries, such as ACH payments and incoming wires
  • Ensure compliance through review of prepared sales/use tax returns for multiple states
  • Assist with yearly Audit preparation - maintain audit readiness in accordance with GAAP and prepare PBC schedules for external auditors
  • Support the Director of Accounting with Payroll functions
  • Special projects, ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE 3 to 5 years of accounting and/or auditing experience preferably in the manufacturing industry.

SKILLS
Microsoft Office Programs, knowledge of ERP and Accounting systems

SUPPLEMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exceptional problem solving abilities and good organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Cost accounting/analysis or previous manufacturing company experience preferred
  • Active collaboration with the Sales, Customer Service and Accounting Department functions as well as cross-functional areas of the company such as Manufacturing and Clinical departments
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
