Currently ING is not somewhere you might want to work if you don't deal directly with customers.

Shipping/Receiving, loading, unloading, packager, and stacking. Conducted monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventories of stock. Forklift operator. Cleaned equipment and processed necessary paperwork

This was a fun and nice company to work for. It was a contracted position which ended after 6 months.

The day would begin by reviewing and responding to emails.

Arrange travel for analyst/researchers for domestic and international travel.

Arranged catering for internal and external meetings daily.

My average day consisted of coming into work and checking up my calendar to plan my day around any upcoming deadlines or commitments. I currently had a number of small projects with which mainly involved technical queries from assets offshore which I generally dealed first thing. This was a nice place to work with strong work ethics. The majority of folks were dedicated and very nice to work with.

arriving we would have a meeting to know what we werre supposed to do, we would set-up, clean, pour cement, do finishing work, some carpentry, detailing. the hardest part is when we work in the sun, but i enjoy most of my jobs and im a hard worker and very responsible.

I converted a manual payroll system to a computerized system, which cut down the amount of time we spend on payroll each week. I wrote a manual that explained all bookkeeping department procedures in our company. New employees receive a copy of this manual, which helps them learn their job faster.

Before a department closure, ING was a very fun place to work. Everyone worked as a team and there was always room for growth and opportunity to further your knowledge and skills.

Senior SQL Server DBA working and managing SQL Server Production Servers

In October I, along with 51 others were laid off. The company is splitting from the parent company and must have it completed by the end of 2013. I was hired when they were 3-4 weeks behind in business and laid off when they got caught up. The company is trying to look profitable due to the split off. I am assuming to try to attract a buyer.

This company encourages productivity with an atmosphere of guidance, assistance and attention to the potential advancement of the individual. Management is plugged in to their deparments and co-workers are helpful and friendly.

This is a standard HRO outsourcing organization where there is always a drive to get more for less.

ING talks the right talk, but doesn't walk the walk. ING had high turnover then would hire the same employees as temporary employees. Very little job security. ING should reanalyze ways to save money.

- Check-in with developer on status of current project. If necessary, schedule time to help debug.
- Handle agents' phone calls about financial needs software.
- Create user test cases.
- Work on creating spreadsheet to test current calculator project.
- Meet with manager about status of current projects - weekly.

- Immediate manager is very accessible and willing to guide you. Upper management wants input on how things are going and how to improve processes.

ING hires, prepares, delagates authority, and succeds on setting its people into the businessworld by managing their own business within its own scope. A day at work is never typical, every day is a day of a 'seminar' at the field, with the hardest part in the business been not the rejection but the missing of the target 'by that much'.

Heavy layoffs lately with downsizing for the IPO next year. Great co-workers. Management was mostly reactionary rather than pro-active. Something had to catch fire before it got any attention.
