Pros: very supportive of community volunteering, lots of team building, works hard to be a business you can be proud of, provides microwaves, ice, coffee, and water, encourages healthy living

Currently ING is not somewhere you might want to work if you don't deal directly with customers.

My average day at work
Residente de Proyectos (Former Employee), Campo, CL – February 20, 2013
Pros: i had my gas paid
Cons: i worked overtime
My average day consisted of coming into work and checking up my calendar to plan my day around any upcoming deadlines or commitments. I currently had a number of small projects with which mainly involved technical queries from assets offshore which I generally dealed first thing. The rest of my day was either planning what was recquired to complete – more... a scope of work or conducting tasks . – less

Excellent workplace and company
HR Generalist (Former Employee), London, ENG – January 28, 2013
Pros: great working environment
Cons: did not find here
I converted a manual payroll system to a computerized system, which cut down the amount of time we spend on payroll each week. I wrote a manual that explained all bookkeeping department procedures in our company. New employees receive a copy of this manual, which helps them learn their job faster.

ING is undergoing some changes now that is causing a lot of lay offs.
Senior Underwriter (Former Employee), Minneapolis, MN – November 30, 2012
In October I, along with 51 others were laid off. The company is splitting from the parent company and must have it completed by the end of 2013. I was hired when they were 3-4 weeks behind in business and laid off when they got caught up. The company is trying to look profitable due to the split off. I am assuming to try to attract a buyer.

Working at ING
Qualified Domestic Relations Order Analyst II (Former Employee), Jacksonville, FL – November 6, 2012
ING talks the right talk, but doesn't walk the walk. ING had high turnover then would hire the same employees as temporary employees. Very little job security. ING should reanalyze ways to save money.

Earning life everyday
Financial & Insurance consultant (Current Employee), Αθήνα, GRI – October 13, 2012
ING hires, prepares, delagates authority, and succeds on setting its people into the businessworld by managing their own business within its own scope. A day at work is never typical, every day is a day of a 'seminar' at the field, with the hardest part in the business been not the rejection but the missing of the target 'by that much'.

OK company, unclear future.
Underwriter (Former Employee), Minneapolis, MN – October 12, 2012
Pros: remote employee positions, flex hours, good life/work balance
Cons: heavy management turnover, poor management communication.
Heavy layoffs lately with downsizing for the IPO next year. Great co-workers. Management was mostly reactionary rather than pro-active. Something had to catch fire before it got any attention.
