The accounting specialist/Record Keeper processes payroll related financial transactions for employee 401(k) retirement accounts of Ingham’s clients correctly and on a timely basis. Using Sungard Relius software, the accountant record keeper creates transactions for money coming into retirement plans (contributions) and processes securities trades to invest these funds on a timely basis and in accordance with instructions. The accountant Record Keeper also creates transactions for money coming out of retirement plans (distributions) such as loans, creating transactions to sell securities for these transactions. On a daily basis, the accountant Record Keeper reconciles plan assets and individual holdings for his or her assigned clients. As the accountant Record Keeper obtains more knowledge of the regulatory aspects of retirement accounts, he or she can progress to Compliance Specialist and beyond to Pension Administrator. Qualifications / Skills:
Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Financial Management, or similar business related field. Comparable combination of education and experience may also apply.
