seasonal highs and lows, but work was always steady. Strong business and market understanding made them a contender with industry leaders.
Asst Operations Manager (Current Employee) – Tumwater, WA – July 22, 2014
Typical work days were from early in the morning till job was done. The hours were long, but only Mon-Fri, weekends were sacred. I learned to lead by example. Respect came from peers as you moved through the company and were promoted by learning, listening and implementing. The management above was focused on coaching, not training. They had vision, and allowed you to implement their ideas into reality with direction, not dictation. Coworkers were promoted on merit, not time. They were compensated by not only pay, but recognition and gratitude. Hardest part of the job was employee loss. Weather seasonal layoff, of the inability to coach a mediocre or failing employee to be an asset. The most enjoyable part of the job was success. Implementing new ideas, products and procedures is very rewarding when its successful.
