A decent place to work.
Pharmacy Technician (Current Employee) –  Andover, MAMay 26, 2016
IWP is a decent place to work. The compensate employees fairly and offer good incentives. However, it is very difficult to get promoted or move up in your career depending on which department you work for. Often time hard work often goes unnoticed and the lower management needs work.

They keep taking from their employers. They just want to give to their account managers.

Do not work here! No sick time , it's so hard to build up vacation time because you have to use your time for everything. They keep taking away benefits and raising health insurance every year!

Account Manager (Former Employee) –  North CaroliaAugust 7, 2015
As an Account Manager I worked with Attorneys and Physicians who have Workers Compensation clients/patients. IWP is a pharmacy who specializes in providing medication to injured employees with little to no out of pocket costs.

North Carolina was a new territory I was hired to start and develop the market. After 9 months IWP pulled the NC territory to their inside sales team.
Pros
Indredible employee benefits, voted most healthy company.
Cons
Working on operational items that would have been very beneficial in NC.

seasonal highs and lows, but work was always steady. Strong business and market understanding made them a contender with industry leaders.
Asst Operations Manager (Current Employee) –  Tumwater, WAJuly 22, 2014
Typical work days were from early in the morning till job was done. The hours were long, but only Mon-Fri, weekends were sacred. I learned to lead by example. Respect came from peers as you moved through the company and were promoted by learning, listening and implementing. The management above was focused on coaching, not training. They had vision, and allowed you to implement their ideas into reality with direction, not dictation. Coworkers were promoted on merit, not time. They were compensated by not only pay, but recognition and gratitude. Hardest part of the job was employee loss. Weather seasonal layoff, of the inability to coach a mediocre or failing employee to be an asset. The most enjoyable part of the job was success. Implementing new ideas, products and procedures is very rewarding when its successful.
Pros
recognintion for hard work and persistance
Cons
Long streaches of long days

I loved working at IWP. Company focused on patient care but also on employees with health and wellness programs and inter-departmental team-building exercises. Most employees were pleasant to work with.

Reimbursement Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Andover, MAJune 22, 2014
I thought I was going into a more legal based position but have found this job to be not only non legal at all but more of a "collections" position. Training was good but management lacks oversight

The IWP was birthed out of dialogue between the growing Latino population of Ohio and various community activists in 1999. Through a study commissioned by the Ohio Catholic Rural Life Conference the program mapped out the extensive demographic growth and need for civil assistance in rural Ohio.

Management is not educated. People advance in the company that are not educated. They believe the company will grow.

Bring back the old CEO!
Customer Care Technician (Former Employee) –  Andover, MAJuly 30, 2013
When I first started at this company, it was like I was daydreaming. The company did SO many things for its employees, it didn't even feel like work. The management was strong and was willing to stick their neck out for you to advance if you put the work in. I moved quickly through the company in the two years before I left. About a month before I left, they hired a new CEO and gutted their HR department and changed management in many departments. The effect on morale was detrimental. The changes they made were purely based on income potentials solely. They began firing employees in huge waves. Daily my email was innundated with "so and so is no longer an employee of IWP" messages. Policies became unnecessarily strict, goal demands became unreachable for the majority, and employee perks dwindled significantly. I have been through new management/restructuring before and some upset is to be expected of course, as the make the change for a reason. This however was a swift motion of multiple changes made on greed. I was let go while on approved FMLA. I didn't fight this because I wasn't happy there any longer anyways.
Pros
The ability to help people
Cons
moral dove with new structuring.
