Currently going many changes, including not having a CEO most of the original staff is gone, however the people left are great and hopefully once these changes are done the company will remain great since it's employees are the core.
Pros
The people and the benefits, the work itself as well

IWP is a good place to be - they care about employees and their growth and development. They want employees to succeed and offer tuition reimbursement and online courses. Everyone has a development plan.

Very Stressful
Former employee (Former Employee) –  San Dimas, CAJuly 5, 2017
At one point the place use to flourish and a place for growth was available. With new management everything changed, including and most importantly job security. Some people you would see get hired full-time 1 month and let go. Save yourself the trouble and the stress that this company provides. Management was not here to assist you and no ones job was safe. Pharmacists, Supervisors, HR and regular employees were all laid off.

Claims (Former Employee) –  Andover, MAJune 12, 2017
A job could be the best job but if a company does not listen to their employees about a certain manager or supervisors work ethic, there is no point in working for that company. I do not want to keep working in a place were I dread going in every morning, or where I feel like I can't breath. They need to do what is best for the workers and HR needs to follow through with investigations on complains brought to them by not just one employee but many. Its sad but this is how it is there.

Sadly horrendous
Business Development Manager (Former Employee) –  Andover, MAJune 5, 2017
At one time this company was apparently very successful and flush with cash. With the new management team that came in, its gone down hill. The CEO, the director of finance, the director of technology, the CFO, and most of the top of their sales team have been terminated. They do not respect nor value their employees. They have a bully culture. NOT the place you want to go if you want to be able to contribute to a company for the long term. They cut the comp plan by 50%, so what was once at least a great comp plan is no longer either.
Pros
at one time the money, the flexibility
Cons
management sucks

Injured Workers Pharmacy
Verification Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Andover, MAMay 17, 2017
IWP is a national home delivery pharmacy service working as an advocate for injured individuals. Unlike a traditional mail order pharmacy, which carry a 7-14 day turnaround, we offer next day delivery directly to our patient’s doorstep at little to no out-of-pocket costs*.

Friendly coworkers but it is a niche business in a declining market. Good place to work but would not expect any large growth. In the process of restructuring.

Mailroom Administration/Marketing Specialist (Former Employee) –  Andover, MAJanuary 30, 2017
Regular office type environment. Days always varied in intensity depending on projects at the ttime.
Day starts with mail room priority and would progress into a more facility and office management role.
The management varies depending on department, administration/operations managers were very flexible and great at team development. Hardest part of the job was keeping the workflow manageable, since it s a growing company it would be very easy to take on more than the team could handle at times.
The job was very enjoyable because it was high energy and diverse enough to stay interesting every day. Also it was a position that was involved with many departments it was easy to pivot into any dept.
Pros
great benefits, lots of developmental help, fair amount of company events
Cons
advancement oppurtunities limited

Good culture and management that allows you to work independently
BUISNESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (Current Employee) –  Entire State of CTAugust 29, 2016
The most enjoyable part of the job is that I am helping injured workers get back to a productive life. The work comp system is difficult to maneuver through as it is so knowing we can make life a little easier by getting prescribed medications to patients in a timely manner so that they can get back to work is reward in itself.
I have learned a lot about how attorneys and physicians need to interact to create a successful environment for patients to return to work. And I am able to build that network by bringing the two together at dinners to get the dialogue going between them. This is a win/win for all involved.

I consider myself a consultative sales person, educating physicians and attorneys on the pharmacy side of workers' comp. It's not easy selling a service, but the challenges make every day interesting and I attribute my success to being pleasantly persistent.
Pros
Great opportunity for building relationships. Some of my clients have truly become my friends
Cons
Insurance Carriers directing care - frustrating!

Pharmacy Technician (Current Employee) –  Andover, MAMay 26, 2016
IWP is a decent place to work. The compensate employees fairly and offer good incentives. However, it is very difficult to get promoted or move up in your career depending on which department you work for. Often time hard work often goes unnoticed and the lower management needs work.

Wonderful company to work for.
Account Manager (Former Employee) –  North CaroliaAugust 7, 2015
As an Account Manager I worked with Attorneys and Physicians who have Workers Compensation clients/patients. IWP is a pharmacy who specializes in providing medication to injured employees with little to no out of pocket costs.

North Carolina was a new territory I was hired to start and develop the market. After 9 months IWP pulled the NC territory to their inside sales team.
Pros
Indredible employee benefits, voted most healthy company.
Cons
Working on operational items that would have been very beneficial in NC.
