Coworkers are either there or not there. There are days you fly solo and there are days you work with a team and there are days you have to work with other independents. It changes day to day but the boss keeps people who work well with others and who do good work.
The hardest part of the job is the inconsistent nature of the work. There are times when there isn't any work to be done and there are times when there is so much work it is overwhelming. For example, lawn management is seasonal but if we have a home improvement contract to accomplish as well in the fall when we're doing leaves things can get hectic.
pay is either by the hour or by the job, it depends on the nature of the work.
