They're called insomniac games for a reason
Quality Assurance Tester (Former Employee), Burbank, CA –
Pros: admirable ceo, free friday lunches, stocked kitchen
Cons: long hours, compensation, unfriendly atmosphere, advancement opportunities
For a group of people making games, this was a pretty uptight bunch. I would say the CEO was probably the only person that redeemed this company in my eyes because of how respectful and personable he was with all of the employees. However, many of the department heads were extremely tightly wound individuals though that was probably due to the fact – more...  that we would work such long hours. Many times I'd get to work at 8 and stay until 2 or 3 in the morning and have to come back in at 8 again the next day. My health took a serious toll while I was there and the environment made me really depressed. I was very glad to leave when I did. – less
