Insperity
Senior Human Resource Specialist (Current Employee) –  Western RegionMarch 17, 2016
Insperity is the Premier PEO offering best-in-class client services. No other PEO compares in the areas of customer service and expertise and this is what we strive for. Upper Mgmt is a bit of an old boy's club but they are generally good to the employees and want to do the right thing. The company and my manager allow me to do what I do best and practice my profession (HR consulting) with minimal interference and micro management.
Pros
work-life balance, amount of PTO, work flexibility, health benefits, 401K match
Cons
lower than average pay, advancement opportunities are tough to come by, IT platform and services are atrocious

High Turnover
Business Performance Advisor (Former Employee) –  Bloomington, MNMarch 10, 2016
Great benefits and vacation. High Turnover. Heard the CEO on stage at a sales convention quote ' we need to do something about our 46% annual turnover of BPAs. If you have a lot of contacts that own small and very successful businesses this could be a great fit for you. Don't expect any leads you will not get any, especially if you are new. The model for this organization is to bring in very experienced and polished sales people - pay them a good salary and give them about a year to succeed and at least half quit or get fired in that 1st year. Why???
Because this is a very difficult sale with a LOT of prospecting. A handful of people make a great deal of money but not many. You have to be one of the absolute best 'hunters' ever or have a lot of great contacts in the right type of small businesses.
Not for account manager types or relationship builders. For fearless relentless hunters or people that have an incredible number of contacts that own small businesses with 10 to 50 people.
As for my approval rating of the CEO it's lukewarm. Good and bad to say.
Pros
Pay Benefits Vacation
Cons
Few succeed long term

Would not work for this company
APRN (Former Employee) –  NevadaMarch 3, 2016
This company manages the benefits for NKDHC, they are unethical and unprofessional. The job description for NP is a farce, you are nothing more than a glorified rounding nurse at area hemodialysis clinics. You are not considered part of the physician group, but rather only a "physician extender". If your an NP and desire professional growth this is not the job for you!

Few Bad Apples
Business Performance Advisor (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJanuary 30, 2016
Insperity is a good company overall but like most companies there are a few rotten apples in the bunch in terms of co-workers. The "good-ole-boy-club" clicks exist throughout the organization and one is out of luck to end up on one of these teams. The majority of the company is awesome.
Pros
benefits, income potential, challenging sales
Cons
nepotism, politics, good-ole-boy-club

Great work Life Balance and community involvement
Human Resources Representative (Current Employee) –  CaliforniaJuly 13, 2015
I have worked with Insperity for 8 years. Insperity is a great company company that provides great work-life balance. They encourage you to volunteer in the community. There is a strong sense of team environment incorporated into their business model, they are considered high touch high quality, however sometimes this can be difficult when you work with heavy volume of clients. I work on a team that supports the entire Western Region we have a book business that supports 700 clients with an employee count of 10-30 employee ranging from CA to across the US. This is an average of 7800 work site employees we are dealing with on all levels from Employee relations to benefits, to training, onboarding, and compensation. When you are dealing with such a high volume and quantity of employee relation issues you have knowledgeable on your laws from a federal and state level to ensure clients are in compliant. Sometimes the high touch business model does not fit in this specific market, so it can be challenging. Needless to say, I stay superbusy and up to date on all my HR skills, never a dull moment on my team !

Business Performance Advisor (Former Employee) –  Irvine, CAJuly 30, 2015
This is a good company that pays fairly at the start. Setting meetings to hear the sales pitch from a 10 year sales person. Everything is split, in the end all your leads go back to the tenured sales management staff.
Pros
Starting Salary
Cons
Local management and nearly 90% turnover after year 2

Could not image working anywhere else
Service Associate (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXApril 7, 2016
I have worked for Insperity (formerly Administaff) for over 10 years and cannot image working anywhere else ~ truly an employee driven culture. Great benefits, the ability to continue volunteer efforts, .. just an awesome culture overall. Every job has its challenges, otherwise they wouldn't call it work, but that's what also makes it so rewarding ~ as is the annual bonus program!

Decent local mngmt, bad local mgmt
Tax Compliance Specialist (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 21, 2016
The upper management appear to push for a more relaxed collaborative environment. But local management is only concerned about maintaining the status quo rather than in getting things done. No consideration for lower level employees
Pros
Decent health insurance coverage
Cons
No work life balance

A great place to work that employs experienced, fun people
Learning & Development Specialist (Current Employee) –  Florham Park, NJSeptember 30, 2013
I enjoy working for Insperity. They provide great benefits and compensation and truly understand the need for work/life balance which is important. I interact with sales people, HR generalists and clients on a daily basis which provides for a wide and varied work day.

I enjoy working with all of my clients and their worksite employees to address performance and management issues.

The most difficult part of my job is the downtime between trainings. I like to be busy constantly but this position does not always provide that.
Pros
ability to work from home, ability to travel, working with a diverse group of clients
Cons
opportunities for advancement are virtually non-existent if you work in a field sales office, which i do.

Terrible Overworked Stressful Environment for Employees
Employee (Former Employee) –  Somerset, New JerseyOctober 5, 2013
Overall bad place to work with family management constantly attacking short-staffed employees for unreachable deadlines with excessive overtime hours that include early morning, nights and weekend hours. Tech support is expected to work 24 hour on-call hours, rotating throughout the month. Excessive phone work is also part of the position so plan on also being on the phone (Helpdesk) more than 3/4 of the day, but NEVER stay on the phone more than 1/2 hour or you will be reprimanded in an unprofessional manner in front of your peers/co-workers. There are plenty of BETTER opportunities and more competitive compensation for the amount of education and work required for any position with this organization/location.
Pros
good co-workers. some days, free bagels, fruit and the occasional lunch
Cons
too many to mention, mainly very poor family-oriented management

Horrible place to work/ Horrible Area Managers...
CMA (Former Employee) –  LV NVApril 28, 2014
This is th worst place to work. Upper Managment hires Area Managers with no experiece( Kelly Boyd, she is full of drama) the pay is extremely low for the work load they want you to do. The office is always under staffed because people quit afer they realize the horrible working enivroment. The office is still using pape charts is which is one of the biggest problems. No one has gotten a raise in 7 years and upper management states it is because the company is not making money, which is a joke when you have doctors and 1 area manager getting bonus. Which is based on the hard work of the employee not there ( area manager). So please be smart and run don't walk if you have made the mistake of applying for a job with this company!
Managment wants you to fit 10 hours of work into 8 hours. Some employees even clock out and continue to work because overtime is not allowed even though your clinic maybe understaff. I haved NEVER work for any company like this it needs to be shut down and reopen with people who know what they are doing.
Pros
going home after 8 hours
Cons
no breaks, no raises, horrible management
