Overview

IHR was incorporated in 1990 and today is headquartered in Cambridge while conducting services, policy and program development, research and capacity-building activities throughout Massachusetts. IHR also provides training, consultation, technical assistance and curriculum development for state, local, and national organizations to improve integration of best practices and policies into prevention and treatment programs. IHR is licensed by the Mass. Department of Public Health to provide substance abuse and mental health services at clinics in Cambridge, Boston and Lowell, as well as home- and community-based services throughout the state; in 2013 IHR achieved full accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). IHR is certified by the state's Supplier Diversity Office (under the Executive Office for Administration and Finance, Operational Services Division) as a women-operated agency, and retains a number of staff and board members who are in recovery from substance use, mental health or trauma, and/or who are living with HIV/AIDS. Primary funding sources are the Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, Department of Children and Families, MassHealth, and our federal partners, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and Administration on Children, Youth and Families. Recognized as a local and national leader in the behavioral health field, IHR has received numerous awards, particularly for work prioritizing pregnant and parenting women and family-centered approaches. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
