Working at Intel

  Hello! I got an internship offer from IBM System Z design group. I also have another offer from intel (verification group). I have no idea about how to compare these two companies! IBM System Z internship seems to be highly challenging and exciting! However same thing can be said for Intel also. I would appreciate to get some feedback in this issue. Please help me with some advice/suggestion. In IBM, I will get the chance to work with their principal system z microprocessor designer. So, I am kinda leaning toward IBM and I like to work in design and architectural side. I need to make a tough decision here. Thanks in advance.

  Intel is having me come out to their Folsom, CA site for an in-person interview for a new college graduate financial analyst position--does this mean they want me to work at the Folsom site or will I get an option to work at the location of preference? My first and really only preference is the Santa Clara, CA site which is the only one put down when I filled out the application

  Hi I have 6 yrs experience in ASIC Design and I am looking for a position at Intel. I am about to give interview for the position. My current salary is 98.5 K I would like to know what salary is generally given to a 6 yr experienced chip design person at Intel and I am not sure how much could I get on entry? Please advise Thanks

  Hey guys, i was wondering if some of you working at Intel or got through the interview and actually got an offer can give me some feed back. I first interviewed with the Business Op. department for an IE position..ranked 3rd amongst like 8 people interviewing for the same position and didn't get the job. I got another call from Intel for a manufacturing position ..essentially doing similar things and would really like to work there for a short term. Are there any ins and outs on how to excel on the 'stupid' ranking system they have?

  The T-Comp handbook seems to imply that if you hypothetically quit on Jan 1 2008 you would still be eligible for 2007 EB and receive a payout in Feb 2008. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?
