OTR TRUCK DRIVER, Salt Lake City, UT - August 19, 2014
A typical day at work consists of picking up and making deliveries to the many different states across the US, and driving a tractor-trailer combination over many different types of terrain and weather conditions with very little rest time in between deliveries. On the job I learned how to deal with waiting a long period of time to be loaded or off-loaded at the destinations. The Driver management team is very patient and understanding of the drivers issues and delays, and deals with them in a timely manner. Everybody knows everybody by name not their truck number they pass each other over the highways periodically and talk to each other during their break or downtime. The hardest part of the job is having to wait at the different locations for pickup and deliveries. I make very good money for driving long distance and I get to meet many different type of customers and drivers doing the same thing I'm doing.
