About International Arts & Artists
International Arts & Artists is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing cross-cultural understanding and exposure to the arts internationally through exhibitions, programs and services to artists, arts institutions, and the public. Founded in 1995, IA&A is using innovative approaches to respond to the needs of the international arts – more... community.
Through our Traveling Exhibitions, our subjects cover a broad and dynamic range of art, including works in all media from international and American artists, as well as exhibitions from significant collections and art movements. During its eleven-year history, the organization has collaborated with more than 300 museums and cultural institutions in 49 states and 30 foreign countries. Our staff assists in all stages of exhibition planning from concept development and loan procurement to securing venues and arranging the transportation from one museum to the next.
Through IA&A's Design Studio, our designers create a variety of publications to accompany the exhibitions we tour. Our design services are available to any art institution in need of a high-quality, affordable publications and digital media. IA&A is committed to providing assistance in a variety of capacities to ensure that exhibitions are successful.
In keeping with our mission to enable cross-cultural exchange, IA&A created a unique, internationally-focused art career training program called USArts. This U.S. Department of State-approved program allows international trainees to undertake professional training within arts and cultural-related organizations throughout the United States. IA&A provides trainees with documentation for the J1 visas required of them, and serves as the liaison for both the trainee and the host organization throughout the training period.
Established in April 2006, IA&A's on-site gallery, Hillyer Art Space, presents both regional and international exhibitions that feature a wide variety of media. Hillyer Art Space gives its partners extensive creative autonomy in the development of its exhibitions, serving as an open forum for a variety of artistic visions and disciplines from the local community and abroad.
In the future, IA&A plans to start a membership program for individual artists internationally. The Artists' Services Program will provide artists with access to information on local, national and international opportunities such as fellowships, grants, commissions, and exhibition opportunities. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
