Work Hard, Play Hard
Production Billing Associate (Former Employee), Omaha, NEMarch 14, 2014
They definitely enjoy kicking back and rewarding their employees for the hard work they do. Through out the year they have various R&R activities during work hours.

The benefits are great, but most people (I think as with any job) wish they paid a bit more.

PTO is way above average for any company and paid holidays are close to banker holidays.

It does seem difficult to advance though if you have the slightest question behind your name. Rarely if ever are you given feedback as to why you didn't get the position or what you could work on to be a better candidate in the future.

Pros: great salary and benefits
Interpublic is an exciting parent company, to work for. I had the opportunity to work with little or no supervision. Very respectful staff and co-workers.

Not a place to develop and grow... Manager doesn't care for individual and lots of nepotism
OMS Contractor (Former Employee), New York, NYJanuary 24, 2013
Pros: none for contractors but full time employees has some summer and work from home benefits
Cons: bad management in oms team, manager does not follow the same rules that the team needs to follow and lacks discipline
Not a place I would recommend...especially if applying for a contract position. Individual treated like a machine and routine is accepted and innovation ruled out. Manager micro-manages and gives tasks that are of no use or value in any other company in future. No advancement and one will be doing the same thing over and over again for years with no light at the end of the tunnel unless one leaves. Quite a dull environment but colleagues are good and easy going..unless the manager walks by. Quite a bit of nepotism and husband and wife teams manage it based on personal opinions lacking objectivity for real professionalism. Brown-nosing is the only way for some advancement if at all....

Media Billing
Billing & Accounting Specialist (Former Employee), Omaha, NEOctober 25, 2012
Pros: pto time, summer days off, good insurance benefits
Contact with clients regarding their billing. Create excel worksheets to track client budgets. Verify billing is at the correct rate, provide tear sheets and/or TV invoices with billing.
Until the last couple of years, the management was amazing. Many changes in the last couple of years and focus changed directions. The hardest part of my job was the number of clients getting billed on the same day of the month. Contact with my clients and keeping track of their budgets was the best part of my job.

Operates like a public accounting firm - no work life balance
Tax Intern (Former Employee), New York, NYApril 3, 2012
Pros: it's a job
Cons: work is not relevant to real world issues
Fun group of people, but no work life balance. You are given tasks that will not be useful at any other job.

I think I would tell anyone considering an internship/job at this place to go work for a public accounting firm so that you can learn something useful.

My 2nd family, home away from home.
Digital Production Artist (Former Employee), Chicago, ILMarch 27, 2012
Pros: they make sure their employees feel at home.
Cons: like all companies, layoffs — sooner or later.
Great place to work at while there, I stayed there for almost 27 years! I miss that family. The ratings say it all.
