enjoyed the job very much! everything else no so. enjoyed working with the equipment and my fellow employee. But the company needs better management. in this market there should be no layoff's.

PMIC/Mixed Signal Verification Engineering Manager (Current Employee) –  Milpitas, CANovember 30, 2014
Work life is busy and there is lots to do due to staffing levels not being up to required levels. People are generally talented but the planning and project parts of management can use some improvement. Strategically it seems to be on a correct path but execution and process flow is lacking. The most enjoyable part of the job is to be able to mentor people and try new methodologies.
Pros
compensation, type of work
Cons
execution, process flows

Executive Assistant at Intersil Corporation
Executive Assistant (Former Employee) –  Milpitas, CAAugust 6, 2013
Very busy day; must be available via phone, email and in person throughout the day. Often overtime required to get the job done. I've learned a great deal about international travel requirements and intricate airline procedures, many inter-company software processes and shared online training with other EAs to help the team. My co-workers were very nice to work with and we made a great team. I have nothing but the highest respect for my immediate management. The company had a lot of turnover in the past 6 years with senior management. The hardest part of the job was the last 3 years of RIFs and not knowing if you were secure in your job. The most enjoyable part of the job was doing business and employee meetings and events.
Pros
good benefits, decent pay
Cons
not enough people interaction

marketing engineer (Former Employee) –  Milpitas, CAAugust 23, 2012
much money has been spent to acquire glamorous high-tech companies, with no results. but then the hard-working engineers struggle with not enough resources, it seems it is a common problem in every team. the people are some of the best that i have met in the business but they can not be successful i think.
