As a member of the Intronis systems team, you will work on a multi-site, high-capacity storage network running our Intronis Cloud Backup and Recovery product. This position plays a pivotal role, as you are part of the team responsible to scale the infrastructure to support fast growth. This role requires prior experience using Linux systems such as CentOS or Red Hat, and management and monitoring tools such as CFEngine and Nagios.


  • Support and scale server infrastructure for development, QA and production
  • Member of team managing 24-7/always-on, multi-site infrastructure
  • Ensure proper security, monitoring, alerting and reporting for the infrastructure
  • Assist with capacity planning for all aspects of the infrastructure
  • Ensure that all projects and infrastructure are properly documented
  • Design, implement and operate a scalable and reliable systems infrastructure supporting fast growth
  • Perform daily maintenance activities
  • Participation in an on-call rotation

Qualified candidates for this position have:

  • Experience with Kickstart and PXE for remote installations
  • Experience with Red Hat and CentOS Linux servers
  • Working knowledge of Apache, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, NTP, NFS
  • Solid fundamentals in Linux operating systems and prior experience managing production systems
  • Working knowledge of firewalls, load balancers and switches
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to haves:

  • Strong with configuration management tools like CFEngine or Puppet
  • Experience using virtualization technologies such as VMware
  • MySQL experience


  • 1-3 years of administration experience
  • Operational experience in a multi-site data center environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Recent college graduates with internship or co-op experience
