In 1972, W. Patrick Clarke, the founder of CLS, began his career as a stockbroker on the eve of one of the worst bear markets in history. Mr. Clarke started his financial career at a time when other stockbrokers were struggling to survive. In 1975 he helped pioneer the concept of financial planning by organizing and operating a financial planning firm in Omaha, Nebraska. His goal was to help investors with their financial goals.
