Iowa Health System is a community-based organization of physicians, hospitals, civic leaders and local volunteers who are open to new approaches and who share a vision of affordable, accessible healthcare.
We are built on a mutual understanding that the time is right to translate our shared knowledge and experience into a system that works to deliver

Created in 1993, Iowa Health System (IHS) is the state's first and largest integrated healthcare system. It includes hospitals in Cedar Rapids (St. Luke's Hospital); Des Moines (Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Blank Children's Hospital); Dubuque (The Finley Hospital); Sioux City (St. Luke's Regional Medical Center); Waterloo (Allen Memorial Hospital); Fort Dodge (Trinity Regional Medical Center); Quad Cities (Trinity Regional Health System); and Iowa Health Physicians, a physician group of nearly 300 doctors in 31 Iowa communities.
IHS also includes nearly 150 additional physicians providing care through group practices named Partners In Health and Children's Hospital Physicians (Des Moines); Grandview Clinics (Sioux City); and TriMark (Fort Dodge). Iowa Health System also works closely with several community hospitals across Iowa.
One of the state's largest employers as well as its largest healthcare provider, IHS employs nearly 11,500 people statewide. Last year, it saw nearly 150,000 individuals in its emergency rooms and had more than 65,000 admissions.
