IPC was a great place to work.Nice atmosphere, friendly co-workers
Architectural Drafter (Former Employee), Ocala, FLJune 23, 2014
Pros: great people to work with, golf outings.
Cons: no benefits, and poor compensation.
My typical day started at 8am and ended at 5pm. I converted preliminary home design into full working drawings which includes, designing floor plans, electrical, foundation, elevations, and designing custom details per building code specification. Production drafting which includes changing model home designs to fit client’s individual needs. Some site – more... plan experience. Design custom homes using Auto CAD 2002, 2004, and 2006. Isometric Drawings. Both the owner and upper management were amazing people, both professionally and personally. The hardest part of the job was learning Florida building codes. The most enjoyable part of the job was working in such a beautiful, well designed building. – less

clueless management
Director of Public Affairs (Former Employee), Northbrook ILApril 6, 2014
Pros: free soda machine
Cons: horrible management
I've never seen management so obsessed with trivial nonsense such as people's shoes and yet so clueless about the real problems of the workplace. A typical day included meetings on this or similar minutia that wasted time while doing nothing to promote productivity. The company hired and fired so many people that we were the headhunters' best customers. – more... And promotion did not necessarily depend on talent or achievement. The one good thing was that they had a free soda machine. – less

HOME POSITION
Customer Service Inbound (Current Employee), Clearwater FlFebruary 13, 2014
Pros: working from home is great
Cons: miss the interaction with people
Home postition is great answer phones and send messages to dr that are on call for hospitals and nusing facilities.
I have learned that people are impatient but with kind and calm words , that can be handled without stressing your day also.
My management team is great and there when I need them.
Dealing with people that are not nice and working thru – more... the stress they are projecting to get the information needed to get the right person to call them back.
Being able to defuse the stress and actually help someone. – less

General Labor Worker (Former Employee), Piqua, OHAugust 2, 2013
Pros: decent pay for the area, benefits good. company picnic, thanksgiving turkey, christmas ham, and even a flower for valentine's day.
Cons: very stressful worrying if your next on the "hit list". cliques, gossip, playing favorites, very high school.
Too many cliques. 80% of workers were women, so gossip was high and back-stabbing even higher. Management played favorites often. Any issues were buried especially if it was with a favored employee. Employees are disposable and there is little to no loyalty for years of service. Times of low production no one was safe from termination, even those there – more... 20yrs. My personal pick for worst place to work. – less
