Used my engineering knowledge in college to do real-world work
Project Member (Former Employee), Grantham, PA – June 1, 2015
The IPC allowed me to use the knowledge I gained at Messiah College to be translated to real-world applications while still in college. I was able to successfully implement a Sawyer HFM filtration system in three different countries during my time at the IPC.
HR Assistant (Former Employee), North Hollywood, CA – March 16, 2015
A typical work day at work included updating excel spreadsheets, such as the phone list and company map. I would work closely with the management and IT team coordinating employee desk and phone moves, – more... maintain the calendar schedule using Outlook. I was responsible for updating employee time cards and office needs. I also assisted with recruiting. I performed preliminary phone screening, candidate testing and walking the candidate to and from the interview. During my employment with IPC, I learned how to manage my time. The management team and my coworkers were very communicative. I believe the hardest part of the job would be the obtaining more desks and space for the employees. However, the most enjoyable part of the job was interacting and maintain steady communication amongst the employees and management team. – less
Receivables Rep- Collector II (Current Employee), North Hollywood, CA – August 14, 2014
I have learned more about the guidelines for Medicaid and Medicare payers. Some of the co-workers are very helpful with things you may not know. I handle the non-payment accounts of Medicare. I submit appeals when necessary and I review claims to understand the reason for the denials and what I can do to fix it.
IPC was a great place to work.Nice atmosphere, friendly co-workers
Architectural Drafter (Former Employee), Ocala, FL – June 23, 2014
Pros: great people to work with, golf outings.
Cons: no benefits, and poor compensation.
My typical day started at 8am and ended at 5pm. I converted preliminary home design into full working drawings which includes, designing floor plans, electrical, foundation, elevations, and designing custom – more... details per building code specification. Production drafting which includes changing model home designs to fit client’s individual needs. Some site plan experience. Design custom homes using Auto CAD 2002, 2004, and 2006. Isometric Drawings. Both the owner and upper management were amazing people, both professionally and personally. The hardest part of the job was learning Florida building codes. The most enjoyable part of the job was working in such a beautiful, well designed building. – less

Director of Public Affairs (Former Employee), Northbrook IL – April 6, 2014
Pros: free soda machine
Cons: horrible management
I've never seen management so obsessed with trivial nonsense such as people's shoes and yet so clueless about the real problems of the workplace. A typical day included meetings on this or similar minutia – more... that wasted time while doing nothing to promote productivity. The company hired and fired so many people that we were the headhunters' best customers. And promotion did not necessarily depend on talent or achievement. The one good thing was that they had a free soda machine. – less
Customer Service Inbound (Current Employee), Clearwater Fl – February 13, 2014
Pros: working from home is great
Cons: miss the interaction with people
Home postition is great answer phones and send messages to dr that are on call for hospitals and nusing facilities. I have learned that people are impatient but with kind and calm words , that can be handled – more... without stressing your day also. My management team is great and there when I need them. Dealing with people that are not nice and working thru the stress they are projecting to get the information needed to get the right person to call them back. Being able to defuse the stress and actually help someone. – less
