Great Early Start Times and Welcoming Ideas for Improvement

Pros: able to plan, free to coach how i felt would be the most effective
Cons: nothing was consistant, as upper management, and the client were not able to see eye to eye.
Call Center side of Financial Serivces that had a start time of 4am to be able to serivce East Coast Accounts.
I was able to start my day of hectic, but I thirive in environments that have lots of engergy from the moments the gates open.
In the time I was there, Upper Management seemed to do a lot of shifting, and it caused a lot of undue issues from – more... growing pains and difference of opinions on how operations should run.
The best part of my position was being able to muti-task and do so effectively, and in a positive light, no matter what was going on around me.
I always take the last 20 minutes of my day planning out my next day and what needed to be accomplished, outside of the unexpected.
Planning is crucial in call centers to be able to be succesdful, otherwise things just run amuck – less

Cons: not rewarding the employees
A typical day at work, includes logging in my phone aswering any questions customers have concerning their statements. Accept payments via phone. i assist customers with establishing gas services as well as discontinuing services, building loyalty with my customers to ensure job is completed with one call. The company had a revolving door of employees. The kept the culture vibrant. I had great interactions with management and got along well with my peedest part of the job. Pros: my fellow employees were enjoyable to be around.
Cons: the pay was bi-weekly.
Fast paced environment, was educated on the functions of cell phones and billing structure. Management was fair to its employees employees were positive and professional.
The hardest part of the the job was having to make up for poor customer service on the part of the main office.

I worked for the VSO department for two years and it was never a good experience. You're basically tied down to a phone all day long having back to back calls not even 10 seconds to recollect yourself. Management is horrible, always looking down on you and questioning everything you do. As far as raises go, i went without one for 15 months because as – more... I did my job management would ask me to do something else for them and because it wasn't part of my job description it affected my review. I complaint about this and I was told I was an excellent employee that I was very valuable but unfortunately there was nothing they could do! DO NOT WORK FOR IQOR YOU'LL GET SCREWED OVER!! – less

I started working at IQOR when my business closed. A typical day is assisting the customers with their phone issues. What i learned is how to handle irate customer on a personal level. I felt that management did not enforce their own rules. Co-worker were decent. I pretty much got along with everybody. I was a little older, so i did not get caught up – more... in office games. I worked at Iqor in bethlehem for almost 3 years suddenly i get laid off due to department downsize I think this is the worst place to work all the supervisor do is go to the casino and drink and gamble budget monies This is probarly the reason they never have money in they budget Overall i did get alot of experience as far as customer service and collections But i dont recommend anyone to work for this company

Collections is the pits and requires one to be almost a con-artist.

Sitting at a phone for 8 hours or more. Taking absolute verbal abuse from customers who fail to read or understand the agreement they have with iQor's client. And during this time one is required to collect on overdue, pastdue and write-off accounts. Informing the customer that the agreement they agreed to allows the iQor client to draft out of your – more... bank account or charge your credit card the balance owed. The agent whether with the company 90 days or 9 years ever fails to collect $2000 per shift is guaranteed termination from employment. – less
