The Company operates in a two principal segments: Drug Discovery and Development and Regulus Therapeutics Inc. In January 2009, the Company sold its subsidiary, Ibis Biosciences, Inc. to Abbott Molecular Inc. (AMI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Abbott Laboratories.
