Ixia has good benefits and pays better than any other tech company. It is way above pay grade. But the only thing that makes this company not so good is the culture and the management. There are no policies and guidelines. The hardest part of the job is there is too many superiors. You don't know which one to follow.

Lack of leadership and disorganization leaves not a lot to say about the culture here. Lots of effort, for sure. But too conservative. The earlier comment about arrogance of too many VPs destroying the motivation of the highly skilled people that work within the company seems accurate.
Not a lot of talent on the marketing side in particular, (very poor execution), since many have moved on to more mature opportunities, including me. If you're looking for a good company to work for, this might not be it until they get their marketing game together, and hire more competent leaders.
Good location close to VTA and 101 freeway
Lack of leadership, competent managers, lack of vision, no culture. Low morale.

The arrogance of too many VP's is destroying the motivation of the highly skilled people that work within the company. Too many of the top performers have left or are being driven to search out better opportunities and will be leaving the company soon. If the new CEO can get a clue she will slash and burn a significant number of over promoted middle management folks and bring upwards some of the recently acquired folks. If she fails to take drastic action and knock some sense into the management chain, the company is doomed.

IXIA is striving to find a balance between the two types of components they sell. Test components and Network Visibility Solutions are not the same and deserve dedicated Sales, Support, Manufacturing and Product Management representation. While individual contributors are often highly trained and dedicated, the Senior Management must find the proper balanced methodology to allow them to serve their customer's needs.
