Successful Type A candidates will have a track record of consistently meeting targets, experience in online marketing, and experience in phone based calling skills, lead generation and media advertising.   • Inside sales experience selling program/product value
  • Experience with phone and email based client communications
  • Experience in client renewal and retention selling
  • Account development, targeting and prospecting skills
  • Sales presentation and closing skills
  • Understanding of online marketing campaigns including:

o Search engine optimization
o Pay per click campaigns
o Opt-in lead generation
o Paid placement marketing
o Directory marketing
o Display advertising
o Newsletter/eMail marketing
o Social media marketing

  • Proven employment history of dedication and commitment
  • College degree in business, communications, hospitality or marketing

The Sales Training Program:
Sales Representative Trainee candidates will work in a structured sales/service training model. The program is a step by step process that develops successful sales representatives. The program is designed to move a Trainee through all facets of the training in an aggressive 3-6 month process. The Training program is a merit based self paced process where a successful trainee can accelerate their own training based on their performance.

  • Step 1 – Learn How to Build and Market Directory Listings – 1 Month
  • Step 2 – Learn How to Service and Renew Clients – 1-3 Months
  • Step 3 – Learn How to Engage and Sell New Clients – 1 – 2 Months

Specific training and role based responsibilities include:

New Client Sales Training:

  • Targeted cold calling skills development focused on setting up prospect walk thru appointments
  • Learn how to build targeted category cold calling lists
  • Training on cold calling techniques to achieve walk thru presentations
  • Sales presentation training and extensive sales call listening training
  • Participate in immediate follow up calling, emailing and action items and how to approach them for prospect companies that are logging into their listing (Non Client Log ins) as hot leads
  • Participate in screen sharing directory sales walk thru’s to prospect companies
  • Participate in all scheduled follow up calls with Sales Training Director to focus on sales closing skills
  • Training on how to manage an active sales pipeline and turn qualified prospects with Insertion Orders (IO) into closed sales
  • Support Sales Director by scheduling next step calls, follow up emails, IO preparation and call confirmations
  • Participate in weekly learning lunches with Sales Team to review sales messaging, product information, overcoming objections and closing the deal

Client Delivery & Renewal Sales Training:

  • Complete New Client program kick off checklist – category/product tag and load, content loading, program provisioning
  • Participate in New Client Kick off call – scheduling, call delivery, next step actions
  • Conduct Quarterly client check in calls to review current program performance
  • Present program up-sell opportunities to current clients
  • Conduct renewal sales call account preparation for Renewal Sales Representative
  • Participate in renewal sales calls and prepare renewal sales IO

Listing Company Content Development Training:

  • Learn how to read and harvest from a prospect company marketing website including which products they sell, which categories they are in, how they market themselves, which content they use to educate buyers
  • Learn how to use marketing software tools to build display advertisements, load and host whitepapers and videos, how to link RSS Feeds, Company News and Social Media links, how to post content and editorial on directory Blogs
  • Build out directory categories and assure that all companies are tagged to each category that they do business in, load all relevant products, load all relevant product marketing and whitepaper information available and enter all relevant contact information into managed users
  • Send targeted outbound eMails to prospects focused on turning them into leads for Sales Team
  • Usage of One Source iSell tool for targeted prospect account development
  • Training on search engine optimization and Google, Bing and Yahoo’s role in driving buyer traffic to directory markets
  • Training on the role of affiliated publication partners in driving buyer traffic to directory markets

The Compensation Plan:
The compensation package consists of a $30,000 to $40,000 annual base salary based on experience. Upon successful completion of training each Trainee will be promoted to Sales Representative. Sales Representatives are expected to have a $100K+ OTE. Sales commissions are paid monthly based on cash received.

Sales Representative Annual Commission Plan
0-$250K Annual Bookings - 10% Commission - On Target Earnings (OTE): $65K
$250-$500K Annual Bookings - 15% Commission - OTE: $102.5K
$500K+ Annual Bookings - 20% Commission - OTE: Unlimited

A complete compensation program includes 401K, comprehensive benefits including flex spending accounts, stock option grant after 12 months, 3 weeks paid vacation and free parking.
