System Engineer (Current Employee), Chicago, IL – March 5, 2014
Due to the competition, the bank outsources a lot of works to inexperienced offshore resources. A typical US day starts with taking over unfinished offshore tasks. In most cases, these unfinished tasks were handed over to them from US the night before. They were either untouched or worsened by offshore.
The hardest part of the job is to convince the – more... management to hire more onshore workers to make up the lags from underperformed offshore resource. – less
Client Service Representative (Former Employee), Chicago, IL – March 5, 2014
Cons: free transportation
This job was a job that helped mold me and taught me all about discipline and being focus. A typical day at this job would consist of me taking inbound/outbound calls regarding customer accounts. The most enjoyable part of this job was actually being appreciated for the work that I did. My management team was awesome they became "one" with the employees – more... meaning we can also become team leads/management. Now, being at this job I learned that discipline is the key to success. – less
Collections Center Manager (Current Employee), Akron, OH – March 5, 2014
Our typical day is fast paced. The day seems to fly by. We normally have some complex issues to resolve. I have learned to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize. Management works to keep up with the ever changing regulatory issues. Communication is a strong point. I have a great staff with many years of experience.
Teller (Current Employee), Pleasant Hill, CA – March 5, 2014
In general, Chase bank is a good company as a whole. Many changes have occurred within the company, causing the work environment to change. Management does not stress employees on their referrals. However, of course all employees should always put their best foot forward and try to build new relationships with customers to hopefully bring in new business – more... to the company. The one downfall and the only part I did not like about Chase is the pay. Everyday employees are facing multiple challenges yet they are not getting paid very well at all. – less
Personal Banker (Former Employee), New York, NY – March 4, 2014
Pros: a lot of room for growth
Cons: too money hungry
A typical day at work starts with me greeting clients with a smile as they enter the bank to perform their transactions. The hardest part of the job is having an unsatisfied and irate client. The most rewarding part of the job is just working with the general public and being able to provide that extra individual help and security with their account – more... as their trusted personal banker. While this company is very productive and the my co-workers are very professional, I find it to be sometimes more about making money than fulfilling the clients needs. – less

Fast Paced and very controls driven. Learned about all aspects of the financial system and how to help clients take advantage of the products and services that are available to them. Pros: great work schedule with opportunities to advance
Friendly and supportive managers available to assist you. JP Morgan provides a through training course to prepare employees for the fast pace working environment. Co-workers are also supportive in the day to day job process. The most difficult part of the job was being able to sit for extended periods of time. Working with the management team and co-workers – more... was the most enjoyable experience next to meeting the needs of the customers. – less
