Receptionist, Medical Pavillion, Mayfield, KY - October 4, 2015
I spent the majority of the day checking patients in and out, answering calls and taking messages to help keep nurse from being overwhelmed by patients in and out of office, Perhaps the hardest part of the position was the co-workers who had been employed many years - they were not very welcoming of newbies. I also collected money for the hospital, copays and old debts to other doctors. I would scan in patient records, insurance cards and ID. It was an enjoyable position.
