Happy People, Happy Working
Food Handler (Current Employee), Pleasant Hill, CA – May 13, 2013
Pros: friendly environment
Cons: poor pay, no freebies even though they are constantly throwing away smoothies
I just started working there and all I've done is learn how to wash dishes at an extreme speed. Everyone seems to be super friendly and nice, not only to the customers, but to all of the co-workers.

Horrible owners.
Team Member (Current Employee), Coeur d'Alene, ID – May 10, 2013
Pros: 50% discount on product
A typical day at work is fairly busy and fast pace. It is super easy to work there, and the hardest part is memorizing the recipes which isn't even really that difficult. I am leaving Jamba Juice because the owners are very untrustworthy. They go behind the managers' back all the time to employees. Very unprofessional. They do not trust their team and – more... they are always out of town or on vacation. I have maybe seen them in the one store they own maybe 3 times, and have been on vacation twice and i've only worked there for 3 months. They are very quick to throw someone under the bus yet they claim to be understanding? The employees however are amazing. I love working with ALL of them. They are drama free (besides the owners) and they are all super friendly and are outgoing. The only reason I'd ever consider to keep working there is because of my coworkers – less

Very fun!
Training Mentor (Former Employee), New York, NY – May 8, 2013
Pros: free smoothies.
Cons: short breaks, not many benefits.
This was the most fun I ever had at a workplace. Worked at Jamba as a teenager and it is the perfect job for young people. Met some great people and although it was hard work, it was never dull.

Jamba Juice provides an extremely up beat and positive work environment. Our goal is to provide exemplary customer service and quality products.
Shift Manager/Assistant General Manager (Current Employee), Manhattan Beach, CA – May 6, 2013
Pros: lots of customer service interaction, management experience
Cons: short breaks
As part of the management team, I am responsible for creating a fun work environment and ensuring that customers receive quality products. A typical day at work consists of handling large amounts of cash, taking inventory, setting sales goals for myself and my Team Members, and filling out managerial paperwork- all while making sure I am helpful on – more... the front line. Through this job I have learned that in order to succeed you must take initiative and also that patience is key- especially when your job entails much face to face customer interaction. Our management team consists of a General Manager, two Assistant General Managers (myself and a fellow co-worker), and two Shift Leads. We all work closely with one another to improve our store and achieve higher standards. I am in charge of training new team members; I really enjoy this aspect of the job because I can work intently with new hires and teach them what I know. The hardest part of my job is dealing with customers who are very frustrated or unhappy with the product they have received, our service, etc. But I have found that if you remain calm, friendly, patient, and keep a smile on your face, any situation can be resolved and the customer can leave happy. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to constantly meet new people and be able to make someone's day just by asking how they are doing and striking a conversation. – less

A family in the work place.
Team Member (Current Employee), Palo Alto, CA – April 22, 2013
Pros: a family enviorment, good shift leaders, flexible
Cons: more hours needed.
A typical day at work for me is, walking in and clocking in. Saying hello to all the customers inside, and my co-workers and managers. Right as soon I finish that I count my cashier drawer, and get on register and start my shift. As the day goes by I have already altered through-out the different stations to either help my other team mates if I am needed, – more... and if not I go to the back and wash dishes and restock items. – less

This is a great and healthy job
Customer Service/ Sales Rep (Former Employee), Oklahoma City, OK – April 19, 2013
Pros: enjoying their smoothies
Cons: not still working there or at least being able to enjoy the product, free!
A typical day at work started like the routiens of all our customers. Enjoying amazing smoothes, wheat grass, and their delectable breakfast choices. I learned of all the ways their products are good for our bodies, and various ways to benefit from wheat grass juice. My co-workers all enjoyed their jobs and so did I. The harest part of the job was learning – more... the menu, but once i did, I sent rinks flying our the door! The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to drink the access of smoothies made. – less

Fun workplace
Supervisor (Former Employee), South Lake Tahoe, CA – April 18, 2013
Pros: starter job to learn from
Cons: no benefits
Making smoothies for customers and selling products of the company. Most of my co workers were my friends so it definitely made it fun to be at work but definitely did not effect my work. It actually made it better for us and our customers because our attitudes were very inviting.

very customer service oriented
Shift Manager (Current Employee), Salinas, CA – April 9, 2013
Pros: the regulars that come into the store, positive and fun environment, reasonable manager
Cons: short breaks, no benefits, sometimes there aren't enough hours to go around
Our days at jamba juice are very busy. I have learned to patient and how to better communicate. Management is very professional, yet tries to come to a personal level when trying to understand each other's situations and/or problems. The hardest part of the job is figuring out the different ways of learning that each team member has so that I can train – more... them properly. The most enjoyable part is learning new things and meeting new people literally everyday. I like that we grow bonds with our regular customers as well as with fellow employees. – less

Very productive and fun
Shift Manager (Former Employee), Emeryville, CA – April 9, 2013
A typical day at Jamba Juice on my shift was exciting, informative, and a new experience: greeting and serving customers blending the perfect smoothie, serving customers, working with a vibrant team. I learned much about inventory control, operation management, cost of goods, managing schedules and supervising employees. I also learned how to conduct – more... interviews and what to look for in potential applicants. I had an awesome management team and co-workers with alot of talent and potential. The hardest part of my job was not satisfying a customer, which was rare on my shift; but most hardest was having to make a decision on keeping a schedule that conflicted with not only my school hours but that of my children. The most enjoyable part of the job was satisfying the customers, obtaining recognition as best shift manager/customer service in the district, and the relationships between customers and staff; we did catering events, attended road shows, was awarded as one of the top stores in the district. – less

I get along with all of my co-workers. It is an all for one, one for all team. I can always keep myself busy by finding things to do. I have learned a lot about team leadership and time management, as well as improved my organizational skills and communication skills. The most enjoyable part of the job for me is that it has a balance of a fast paced – more... environment as well as slow and laid back. – less
