Claims Associate (Current Employee) – Richmond, VA – June 24, 2017
The work is hard, and there are very, very few other opportunities for advancement, unless you are interested in being a claim examiner the entire time. The job for Managers and Assistant Managers is even crazier. That being said, the Management team is top-notch. I would recommend James River Insurance, but you have to know that you are going to be run ragged by the work flow.

The claims are all handling one rideshare client. You don't learn anything except that the management directives change daily and no matter what you do you are wrong. Reputation of people working here gets trashed due to how they do things. Really horrible workloads impossible to keep up.

Growing commercial excess and surplus insurance that has become the go to carrier for livery/rideshare technologies. Challenging work environment with expanding leadership roles. Has earned great place to work accolades over the past few years.
