Operations Manager (Current Employee) –  Memphis, TNDecember 13, 2016
I love working at jan pro with the exception of the person I report to is insanely over the top with micromanaging. Being trained is one thing but this is over the top and still ongoing.I love the relationship i have with my customers and the franchise owners that clean for us. Its very fulfilling in this aspect
Pros
company car, coworkers are fantastic, hard work pays off
Cons
micromanaged beyond line of being helpful.way too extreme

Franchise Owner (Current Employee) –  Irving, TXDecember 6, 2016
The typical work day is usually at night, the hours can seem long, and the contracts can sometimes not be worth the money. Overall though, its a decent business to be involved in if you're looking to add to your income.

There are many commercial cleaning franchises out there so be very careful in selecting the right one that actually fits what your goals are.
Pros
Control of your work hours
Cons
Contracts may pay very little

Efficient and Reliable
Franchise Owner/ Cleaner (Former Employee) –  Marietta, GAJune 8, 2016
Commercial cleaning isn't as strenuous as Residential cleaning, but sure is wider in square footage, with more things to clean effectively with proper routine and a well taught team. " Get In and Get out" with time management and our customer service as our #1 drive. Hospital disinfectant for an eco friendly environment. The protege' bak pak vacuum cleaners and wider selection of cleaning equipment/ supplies really cut time in half with more energy for better health. Great Company!!
Pros
Wonderful Customers
Cons
Lack of Man Power with too many contracts.

Maintenance
Maintenance (Former Employee) –  New Britain, CTMay 11, 2015
Cleaning between 5 to 8 building and offices a day 7 days a week. bathrooms, hallways, buffing & waxing, dusting, trash removal, vacuum, sweep, and mirrors. Team work was the key to making it work, management was not the best dude to this was his fist time owning and starting a business and everyone was family. We were all family there for co-works had their ups and downs. The hardest part was working for family and even though we got paid $9.00hr we had to wait to the 1st of every month to get are checks. The most enjoyable part was it was a laid back fast pace job and as long as you got your job done no one would bother you.
Pros
breaks in between bulidings
Cons
waiting til the 1st of every month to get pay check

zero communication between the two

Overall good place to work if you are trying to jump into the management world, schedule is more geared to those who are younger and single, not a family friendly job.
