This integral position in the firm supports our network and technology infrastructure and analyzes problems to maintain and improve existing systems.

  • Maintain internal network, perform preventative maintenance, install software, resolve database problems and perform backup and recovery functions
  • Provide technical support for Microsoft/Linux/Unix project activities
  • Apply patches and upgrades for operating systems
  • Create and maintain scripts and automated tasks
  • Provide support for escalated help desk issues
  • Mentor and provide support for help desk staff members

Required Skills:

  • At least five years’ experience working with Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision providing remote and onsite support for end users
  • Must possess the skills to work in a team or individually in a fast paced environment
  • Direct contact with end users is required
  • Extensive experience with Windows Servers and Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange
  • Experience with VMware
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with VoIP Phone Systems (Shoretel)
  • Experience with Cisco ASA/Routers
  • Experience with iSCSI and SAN environments
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows OS networking technology (DNS,DHCP,iSCSI)
  • Understanding and familiarity with IT policies and procedures
  • Experience working in a technical support environment
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, security, and practice
  • Ability to diagnose networking problems relating to Windows Servers
  • Experience troubleshooting failed Windows/Linux server and failed Exchange server
  • 24/7 on call responsibilities environment

  • MS SQL Server 2008 & 2012 knowledge preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Database Servers
  • Microsoft IIS 7 & 8 experience preferred
