In the payroll field a typical day at work actually becomes routine with incidents here and there that make it interesting because it allows you to experience full payroll cycle. I learned that there is always something new. Management allows you to work independently because each property is different in some way from the others. So you learn from the experience and pass it on when need be. My co-workers are always great team players and always offer support and help when needed to ensure that our department stands out front and shine. The hardest part of the job is when something is not communicated and gets left out of the payroll process. Then you have to really draw on a solution that brings the team together. The most enjoyable part of the job is when we collaborate to get the task done and as close to accurate as possible, all properties are transmitted and everyone is paid on time. Each time it is a great sense of accomplishment.
