Assistant Buyer (Current Employee) – Plano, TX – November 30, 2015
If you're looking for a 9-5 kind of job, this is not the place to be a buyer. Upper management doesn't want to hear the real issues on the floor and if you're one to voice concern, you'll be looking for another job quicker than you'll be seeing results.
Customer Service (Former Employee) – Miami, FL – November 30, 2015
although this job was far and seasonal it worked out for me. i learned a lot from this job , especially interacting with customers. co-workers and managers all got along it was really one big family everyone was treated equally and cooperation. honestly the hardest part was learning how to work with the cashiers and returning items. i ended up getting used to it and did everything quickly after.
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) – Rogers, AR – November 30, 2015
It was very fun to work here. The holidays were always hectic, but always made working fun! The customers were always so friendly, but sometimes weren't happy so I helped to the best of my ability to make them happy.
Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Astoria, OR – November 29, 2015
A typical day at work is listening to customers concerns and put them at ease as we help them to find what they are looking for or being able to order it online for them. Friendly and outgoing personalities surround everyone. I loved going to work every day because everyone who worked there wanted to be there and everyone was always outgoing and friendly as well as helpful.I really enjoyed working with everyone there and wish I didn't have to leave.
My day at work is a fast pace and keeps you on your toes. I learn how product move thru. the warehouse and how it get to the stores. Management is ok. Co-workers are hard workers and are good to learn from. Keeping up with the fast pace and staying productive. Talking to my co-workers and making new friends.
we get 4 days a year when we can call-in and it don't count on your attandace
Lead sales associate (Former Employee) – Milledgeville, GA – November 24, 2015
This job had some wonderful people who work there. I was the number one sales associate weekly. Everyone at the job loved me and really believed in me. I'm also into any kind of fashion so the women loved to ask for my opinion on clothing.
In a typical day I would assist customers in various departments and fill in for other employees in other departments. I would assist customers with on-line ordering, and with any product questions or concerns. I would multi -task between customers and keep the floor organized. The hardest part was when I had to work over time because the departments would be very disorganized. The most enjoyable part of my job was working with JCPenny and meeting new people.
working at JCPenney had it perks when it came to a great work experience and meeting great customers and co workers. But one bad thing about it was the hours, there were never hours! Unless you were a full-time associate you was good but part time sucked, you only had sometimes 20 maybe 15 hours a week.
