There is no right to privacy in any computer resource, and the Board may monitor electronic mail, internet use, or any other use of its computer resources, without limitation. All computer resources, data or other components of the computer system may be inspected by the Board or its designees at any time. Refusal to permit or impede Board access to its computer resources is prohibited.
Jefferson County Board of Education reserves the rights to any material stored in files and may remove any material which the administration believes may be unlawful, obscene, pornographic, abusive or otherwise objectionable. Users will not use the networks, the Board's computers, or any other resource to obtain, view, download or gain access to such materials.
The Board's computer resources may not be used for commercial, personal or unauthorized purposes.
The user will abide by Board policies and all rules and regulations of system usage which may be implemented by the Superintendent or his or her designee(s), including system administrators.
Users may not modify system settings or install software without specific authorization from the Board or its designee. Similarly, a user may not copy software, programs, source code, data or any other computer resource for unauthorized or unlicensed use. The user will be solely responsible for unauthorized use and will bear any costs resulting from or associated with such use, including, but not limited to any and all damages, liabilities and costs of defense incurred by the user or the Board.
Any violations of Board policies, rules and procedures regarding its computer resources will subject the user to immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
