Pros: client success, celebrations, building great relationships.
Cons: i really enjoyed the job.
A typical day at work would began by preparing to see the clients as they arrive. Checking the schedule; pulling the clients file. My most rewarding experience was to consult with the clients; checking their progress and celebrating their success. Motivating those that needed a confirmation in their abilities. I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with – more... all of my clients. We built great relationships. – less

Customer Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Surrey, BC – April 30, 2012
Pros: free food
Cons: low wage and no room to grow within the company
Ive learned a lot from being in this position from multitasking skills to phone sales to filing, answering phones, and paperwork. The only hardest part of the job was spending a hour or two lifting over 50 pounds in food boxes and stocking the freezer and doing this all by myself. The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with the clients and – more... seeing there gradual success in weight loss, and seeing the constant health benefits. – less
Assistant Centre Director (Former Employee), Norman, OK – April 20, 2012
Pros: location, knowledge of losing weight.
Cons: poor management.
A typical day at work was stressful. It was hard to get anything done because upper management would breath done your neck quite a bit instead of doing their job. I learned quite a bit about weight management, and also the software they used for day to day functions. The upper management was not good at training, did not address concerns immediately – more... or at all, and played the scape goat game when things were not going well. I was in management and I truly enjoyed my employees. I enjoyed training them, getting to know them, and on all fronts they improved in their skills and were much happier. The hardest part of my job was not being allowed to do my job to the best of my ability. Upper management saw to it to interfere and critique harshly whenever possible and this ruined the happiness of helping people lose weight. The most enjoyable part of my job was helping my employees. If they had a concern or needed training, I helped them immediately. When my employees were happy, our customers were happy. The customers knew something was going on because employees kept leaving. But what I liked about these customers is that they understood how hard my employees and I were trying to make that centre work and help them succeed. – less
CONSTANT PUSH TO GET MORE CLIENTS/HORRIBLE PAY PLAN
WEIGHT LOSS CONSULTANT (Former Employee), MICHIGAN – April 19, 2012
Pros: some clients are great
Cons: minimum wage, terrible commission plan
TERRIBLE COMPANY TO WORK FOR WITH RIDICULOUS COMMISSION PAY PLAN AND UNATTAINABLE EXPECTATIONS. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY MASK THEIR MISION AS HELPING AND CARING ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS BUT REAL CONCERN IS SELLING AS MUCH OF THEIR OVER-PRICED FOOD AS POSSIBLE WITH ZERO MONITARY REWARD TO EMPLOYEES DOING ALL THE SELLING. CONSTANT CLIENT TURNOVER MOSTLY BECAUSE – more... CLIENTS CANT AFFORD HIGH COST OF THE WEEKLY FOOD. MAJORITY OF CLIENTS NEVER LOSE AMT. OF WEIGHT THEY HOPE TO WHEN THEY START. – less
