The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) is the central public affairs arm of the organized Jewish community. It represents more than 80 synagogues and Jewish organizations in the Bay Area on issues that impact the rights and protection of Jews as individuals and as a community here and abroad.
JCRC seeks to establish the consensus of the local organized Jewish community on public issues and to present this consensual position to the general community, the media and public officials.
Volunteers and JCRC members, in coordination with staff, establish policies on pressing social issues, which then translate into community action.
Educational programs are a centerpiece of JCRC activity and are aimed at mobilizing action, are organized for both Jewish and general audiences.
JCRC is one of 120 Jewish Community Relations Councils in the country which in turn are part of a national umbrella organization, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.
JCRC is also represented in Sacramento by the Jewish Public Affairs Committee (JPAC), which is the voice in our state capitol for the California organized Jewish community. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
