The Co- workers made the job what it was, a day at work would consist working the shoes and going into the stock room to find the sizes, the management were alright to work with and the hardest part was christmas time and most enjoyable was having a laugh with co-workers.

Pros: flexible working hours
Cons: bad pay
This job allowed me to gain a vast amount of experience within the different areas of retail work.
during my time there I had to organize stock, change displays and mark prices down, this was along with advising customers and replacing sold items. I also worked on the til when required and did shirt printing for those that wanted it.

demanding but rewarding place to work with great staff
Deputy Manager (Former Employee), NorthamptonMarch 15, 2013
Pros: passion for sports
Cons: roughly 40-45 hours a week
A typical day would start in me opening the store setting up targets for individual staff team briefings in the morning and floor walks on all departments, managing deployment and customer service, throughout my time in retail I have learnt how to manage priorities in day to day jobs, about managing a team of colleagues delegation to get the best results – more... out of my staff. The hardest part about working at JJB Sports was defiantly having to manage the inevitable demise of our company in the last few months, colleague morale, customer flow was all poor and rumours and speculations where high. The best bit was I worked in a store with products I had an interest in I love sports and fell in love with all sports that we used to sell equipment for, and still have high interests in these. – less
