A typical day would be very busy from start to finish. It would consist of answering phones , assisting vendors and residents as well as following up with future residents , scheduling appointments and tours, submitting maintenance requests, preparing leases and obtaining needed documents and signatures, screening applicants for background and criminal reports, scanning in packages , sending faxes, making copies, preparing reports daily and weekly , attending office meetings weekly, marketing , planning resident functions.
I learned a lot about time management since there are so many things to accomplish in a day.
My coworkers and I put our heads together for marketing ideas and resident events . We also share the office duties and responsibilities making sure everything is done well each day. My manager is amazing ! He has very high expectations and huge goals for us , but he believes in all of us and is there if we have any questions or need his advice.
These apartment homes are luxury apartments in the lease up phase so the hardest part of my job is meeting the lease goals each week /month since they are very high in the lease up phase. They are much more expensive than other apartments in the area so making sure the value comes across in my presentation is very important .We also work very long hours and lots of overtime .
The most enjoyable part of my job is definitely meeting new people and finding them what they are looking for and a bit more . Making sure that they feel that they got more than they expected, both in customer service and product.
