service tech (Former Employee) – Boston – December 16, 2014
I worked at Joerns (less than an year)
Had a training class for 2 weeks and was flown to LA and on the weekends I saw HOLLYWOOD on THEIR DIME..... had a blast! TMZ bus tour! Hollywood walk of fame.. the Pink Taco, oh and the homes of the stars tour!! AWESOME.... and Joerns paid for ALL OF IT THANK YOU............. I HAD A BLAST I LOVED BEVERLY HILLS TOO!!
fyi... Dr Phil has a BEAUTIFUL home!!! I know it as I saw it on the TMZ bus tour!!
BUT............... they lied to me about my job when I got back I was doing little as what was described in my interview.
if you want to work as a service technician, they have about 12 employees in their California office they are called the dispatch team
EVERY call from any customer nation wide is routed to them, and get this...................EVERY RUN YOU DO EITHER A PICK UP,SERVICE CALL OR DELIVERY is routed to you FROM THEM!!
yup, thats right !! and you HAVE TO GO WHERE THEY TELL YOU..
that means if you have 4 deliveries they MAY make you drive 4 hours out of your way and " route" your day HOW THEY SEE FIT!!!
I cannot tell you how many hours I WASTED going hours out of my way because """dispatch"""" felt it was a better way to route my day.
OK ummmmmm your in Chatsworth California and I am in Boston, and you know better than me what customer to see first??I WOULD LITERALLY DRIVE RIGHT PAST A HOSPITAL AND GO 2 HOURS OUT OF MY WAY TO ANOTHER THEN BACK TRACK TO THE ONE I PASSED HOURS EARLIER.... and this is how to save me time????
and FYI........ THEY GPS YOUR EVERY MOVE!! they ""KNOW"" ifmore... you DISOBEY the route they give you . and you WILL get fired !!!!
they are VERY STRICT ON THAT 100% strict!!! they do not tolerate any deviation from their setting of your route PERIOD!!
You disobey that you will be gone!!!!!
I mean come on guys!!! want to wipe my butt too??? what a screwed up company..... I cannot even use my own head and route my day the way I KNOW how to???
I had many MAD NURSES waiting for their wound vacs or patients that could NOT leave the ER until I arrived with the medical products. Hard to tell them "well you were routed last by some IDIOT in California"... sorry..............
A really STUPID way to run a emergency medical supply company....
I have been doing this work for many years ( over 20 years) and NEVER EVER had a company route my every move every day 24/7 its like being a robot.....
I went so far out of my way so many times it made no sense to me or the hospital staff this is why I QUIT....... what a stupid I MEAN stupid way to run service technicians!!!
I had a patient once that had to wait 6 hours in a gurney because I was ""routed" to go there as my last stop.... He had to wait 6 hours to get out of the ER... but here is the thing >>> I DROVE RIGHT BY THERE ON MY WAY TO A """ROUTED""" STOP THAT WAS ""SCHEDULED"" BEFORE HIM AND IT WAS JUST A PICK UP THAT COULD HAVE WAITED AS IT HAD BEEN PUT IN A CLOSET AND I WAS TOLD BY THE ADMINISTRATOR THAT IT COULD HAVE WAITED....
I could have taken care of that patient at the hospital I passed by FIRST and saved his wait time !! but a mattress in a closet was more important than a heart patient waiting on me to bring what they needed to get him out of the ER??????
I could tell more but anyway, if you want A GREAT VACATION and see Hollywood... go!! otherwise what a waste.............less
Drawer Assembly. (Former Employee) – Plover, WI – August 31, 2012
I was awarded my own work space due to me making the pieces as fast as i did. They bought me my own lift for my pallets of parts and gave me my own forklift driver....I worked closely with a engineer to better improve parts and air tools used. I was proud to be a employee. The hardest part of my job was to keep up with the A line when they built 3 drawer bedside tables. But it was a excitement that i loved about doing my best to get the job done....
