CADC, Counselor Intern (Current Employee) –  Atlantic City, NJAugust 22, 2017
The staff can be clicky, but it does not interfere with work, and does not affect the client. The supervision is great, and the company treats the staff well. Compensation is top notch. The hardest part of the job is getting everything done in a timely manner, but that can be found everywhere in this field of work. The most enjoyable part of the job is the clients. They thrive on the support of their counselor.
Pros
compensation, supervision

People love their job here. They love their co-workers and the clients. Pay isn't great, and benefits are OK but it's a great organization if you care about the field.

Statistical Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Pleasantville, NJMarch 8, 2017
My dept. only has 2 staff members. It really should have 3. The work can get hectic at times with only 2 in the MIS Dept.

While at JBRC I learned to deal with a variety of personality types.

Working with and around different ethnic types was very enjoyable and educational.
Pros
My associate was easy to get along with, most of the time.
Cons
Department is short staffed.

If you care and have good work ethic you will be disappointed
Nurse (Former Employee) –  Atlantic City, NJJune 1, 2016
Hours and pay with PTO is good. Some of the male management treat medical staff inappropriate and no regards to concerns. Some of the clients are hostile and aggressive, but some are truly trying to get better and have appropriate behavior. It's a good starting place for a new grad or LPN. Facility is moving which is good because building now are all separated and communication among staff is failing all good employees are leaving. New facility may offer a new beginning and hopefully better communication for directors and a happier work enviroment.
Pros
Amble paid time off
Cons
Some Management has poor work ethic and NO integrity

It is a very challenging job. Make sure that is the environment you would like to be in. Needs a very sincere, understanding person. Management and co-workers were great. trying to make a difference in peoples lives was the best part. Organization functions help boost morale. They pull together as a team for goal.

Fresh Meat (Former Employee) –  Atlantic City, NJMay 20, 2013
This company does not have any idea how to treat employees. When you're a new hire, the other employees will take advantage of you and try to get you fired. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy no real training, no advancement and having to watch your back every minute. The nurses are required to be at the facility by 7am. They don't arrive until about 7:30am on a good day. They do not care about the people they are suppose to help.
Pros
Come in to work anytime around your start time
Cons
Management has no idea what their doing and HE hides from work.

HIV Specialist (Current Employee) –  Atlantic City, NJFebruary 16, 2013
It's a friendly place to work, but opportunity for growth is lacking. The co-workers are a nice group of dedicated people. This job requires patience, understanding, empathy and knowledge of addictive behaviors; these are the hardest part but they are also the most enjoyable part of the job. Because when individual moves from contemplation stage to recovery it means that the treatment plan worked for him/her then there is no greater reward.
Pros
vacation hours, schedule flexibility
Cons
the pay is not very competitive, work standard inconsistent.
