Pros: always improving programs we worked with.
Cons: sometimes the patient is too far gone on arrival and just cannot be revived.
Fast paced and constantly changing work environment in the Emergency Department. You never know what kind of emergency will walk/wheelchair in. Regular opportunities to interact with medical professionals. The most enjoyable part of the job is when a child comes in scared and in pain and we are able to make them smile at some point before they have – more... completed treatment. If not then, then when they leave smiling we get an opportunity to all say "goodbye and feel better!" – less
