Good place to work except for confusion
Project Coordinator (Former Employee), Plymouth Meeting, PAApril 15, 2014
Pros: free coffee, lunchroom, vending machines.
Cons: underpayment for certain positions, prejudices against certain personal positions.
A typical day at work was not overly busy but it was busy enough and allowed me to complete all tasks and prepare for the frequent meetings between management, sales, and projects. I worked for an amazing Project Manager who understood that you were not only a worker but were a human being with familial responsibilities as well. I was able to work from – more... home or from a more local office once or twice a week.

The only hangup with JCI is that there were too many chiefs and not enough Indians. This caused confusion for not only an employee but JCI's customers as well. The company has since reconstructed itself which is how I lost my position. I understand that the streamlining that management thought would help by this move has not. – less

Service Manager Truck Based (Former Employee), Toledo, OHApril 14, 2014
Pros: employee benefits, insurance etc.
Cons: micro managed
While working at Johnson Controls there were six managers in seven years covering the group with which I was employed. When they talk about embracing change, Johnson Controls is the place to be.
A very diverse company that is not afraid to tackle any size project that has the potential for profit.

I like working here and have advanced to my current position. The down fall is still being on nights and in I am ready to be on days. I have worked nights for the past 15 years in a JIT . This is a union facility also. My night consist of taking charge of everything on nights I am the go to person. It is like being a production manager on nights you – more... control everything. – less

I'll make it short and sweet, I'm easy going, laid back, easy to work with, same Good mood everyday, very likeable. I treat people the way I want to be treated, I respect everyone, my co-workers love me. Hardest part of any job is when things don't work right, and the most enjoyable is when you get it working. Just like the cars I build, they come in – more... old and rusty, and leave new and shiny. – less
