The Multimedia Designer is responsible for supporting the activities of communication in the Marketing department. This individual will integrate photo, audio, video, animation, graphics, Johnson Supply TV (JSTV) & Johnson Supply corporate website with all other marketing related activities for the department including social media, blog screening and website administration.
The Multimedia Designer must be able to produce a cohesive look and theme to achieve these goals. This position meets with internal clients, develops project strategy, works on the project with the team, tests the project and presents it to the internal clients.
In addition, this position will also be involved in design and development of printed materials for the marketing department – including but not limited to Public Relations materials/interviews, flyers, brochures, catalogs, posters, signs, tradeshow, event materials, direct mail, development of promotions, case studies, white papers and corresponding materials. This Multimedia Designer will also be responsible for the editing/proofreading of all communication in the marketing department.
The Multimedia Designer must be familiar with current computer programming languages (including C++, HTML and Java), hardware (both Macintosh and Microsoft products) and software (including Adobe Director, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Apple Final Cut Pro, PowerPoint and Avid).
This individual must have a team-oriented attitude, with excellent interpersonal communication skills and must have the ability to multitask, meet multiple deadlines for a number of projects simultaneously, creative and analytical thinker who can tell a story using all the tools currently available.

Multimedia Designer supports the Marketing Department, and reports to the Marketing Director or VP of Sales & Marketing.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

2-5 years’ experience in a marketing/communication environment
Or 2 year degree in marketing or equivalent experience.
Preferred: 4 year degree in Business Management, Marketing or related degree.

Experience:

Experience with current programming language (including C++, HTML
and Java), hardware (Macintosh and Microsoft products) and software (Adobe Director, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Apple Final Cut Pro, PowerPoint WordPress and Avid)

Prior experience with editing/proofreading process and procedures required.

Must excel at working under deadlines and multiple projects.

Occasional travel may be required.

Must possess acute attention to detail, above average follow-up skills, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
