Had a break room where coworkers could gather have lunch and interact. Some employees would take part in baseball and football team.
Pros: sometimes during breaking news the station would provide free food.
Cons: most off the times, there was no or little time for any scheduled ten minute breaks.
Report to my edit bay and turn on computers and prepare for my work day. Begin importing and exporting video for news broadcast. Things that I learned was better time management to meet deadlines. Management would set news room policies for producers, then not enforce them. Such as deadline of writing scripts half hour before news broadcast. Producers would still be writing scripts at and during news broadcast.
Relationship between editors and photographers was very good. Usually and would help each other. Also employees form other departments were always very friendly.
The hardest part of the day was dealing with computer problems and finding archive video. Because computers were slow and outdated. Also, every time the server would crash we would always lose a certain amount of archive video.
The best part of the day was after a news broadcast and everything went well, knowing the I put my best effort possible.
