Joy and Mario (J&M) is a new, forward fashion apparel company focused around making espadrille shoes. We are the manufacturer of some of the leading brands in the world, and the craftsmanship of our shoes is unmatched.

J&M is seeking Sales Representatives to drive our sales efforts in the US. We aim to drive sales of our products through as many channels as possible. The primary objective for this role will be to obtain new business and support aggressive growth. You will be responsible for both identifying and selling to new clients while continuing to develop and grow business with existing clients. We are seeking a Sales Professional with experience and knowledge of footwear. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and includes both base salary plus sales commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads from relationships, through personally conducted outbound campaigns and through partner channels
  • Develop sales through boutique stores, distributors, and other channels
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting, lead development through closure
  • Work with the National Sales Manager to construct and follow a sales strategy to penetrate markets and provide management with realistic and attainable sales forecasts
  • Work with the National Sales Manager to identify and scope new opportunities and develop proposals that reflect customer requirements and objectives
  • Develop and nurture relationships with existing clients


  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the retail/apparel industry and a proven track record exceeding personal sales quotas
  • Knowledge of the retail supply chain and knowledge of the retail/apparel industry is a must
  • Ability to quickly establish and maintain key relationships within prospect companies
  • Experience presenting and closing decision makers
  • Experience managing on-going client relationships and successfully up-selling when appropriate
  • Experience collecting requirements and developing sales proposals and contracts
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication, business acumen, and presentation skills
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales or marketing
  • Sales tenacity, vibrant energy, & a sense of humor
