About Juneau School District
Formed in 1985, the Juneau Convention & Visitors Bureau is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to economic development in Juneau, Alaska, by promoting the area as a year-round travel destination. The JCVB's primary goal is to increase the overnight stays of business and leisure travelers, who in turn support local businesses through consumer – more... spending and the city through payment of bed tax.
The City and Borough of Juneau and a membership of nearly 300 local businesses financially support the Juneau Convention & Visitors Bureau. The JCVB serves the goals of each group by marketing Juneau as a destination and helping locally owned businesses market their services to visitors and potential visitors. Overall, the JCVB seeks to ensure that Juneau enjoys a more stable, sustainable economy year-round.
